Hydraulic Quick disconnect fittings are the Push to connect parts all the same ?

I have some 3/8"NPT and also 1/2" NPT hydraulic hoses. If I want to connect them with quick disconnects can I Just buy a 3/8npt and a 1/2NPT and the "quick" parts will work or is there a way to tell what size the quick part is so I can order the same on that end and have one that is threaded 3/8 and one that is 1/2 ?

I have no idea how they size them.

No. several types, IE; flat face, speedy, metric. I use Milton highflow NPTF which all use 3/8, then use adaptors ( 1/2 to 3/8) on the hose ends to match to then. Lots of Teflon tape.
Swing by your local tractor place, or the nearest hydraulic shop to see what you have, unless they are complete assholes they will get you on track to match everything up with a minimum of effort.

i should have been more clear. I am looking to do flat face. I just wondered if you can get a "male" with 3/8"NPT and a "female" with 1/2"NPT and they will mate up on the push together side.

Yes Milton makes those in 1/2, 3/8, and 3/4 which all use the same body, so they all fit each other
