Constable is elected, can't be fired. Not that she wouldn't try.Has the Constable been fired yet for putting this up?

As long as the "public" schools continue to graduate masses of functional illiterates they will continue to elect and re-elect folks like her, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Mickey Leland. She needs to be gone
I believe SheJack is out too. She got redistricted out and Al Green is "inheriting" their seat.As long as the "public" schools continue to graduate masses of functional illiterates they will continue to elect and re-elect folks like her, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Mickey Leland.
He said he was a Sergeant, are those elected?Constable is elected, can't be fired. Not that she wouldn't try.
He is not elected..Deputy Constables are hired. They do have to be licensed peace officers as a prerequisite though. He said he was a Sergeant, are those elected?
My abhorrence of communism and communists might have over ridden my sense of good judgement.Sadly this is just not surprising. Had this been a service for one of my relatives, I might have asked that the judge be escorted out.
The post I quoted said constable. He said he was a Sergeant, are those elected?
The Houston of today has become much different than the city I remember from several decades ago.Democratic city, she's behind the catch and release system in the courts. She needs to lose the election but sadly has a chance just like SJL.
From the first time and every time I’ve seen her, much more heard her, my immediate and everlasting image of her is of a pitiful munchkin and of a middle schooler.
The basis of her election over a entirely satisfactory predecessor wasn’t her ideology, qualifications, or even her gender.
Houston, as much else, is distressingly changed and not for the better. But, I hope not irretrievably.
Out of here after 45 years.
