You think I drove the speed limit to San Angelo last summer? I pretty much keep it within the 10% though, above that is what they most often look for. That does it! Into the spreadsheet you go.

In regards to the reason most of us carry a firearm in the first place and that being to defend ourselves and our families, have you ever tried drawing your weapon while strapped into a car seat by a safety belt? Not very tactical is it? Do some research and find a way to safely secure your firearm in the vehicle while at the same time giving yourself the advantage to quickly accessing your weapon on a seconds notice. For what its worth, I use a seat carry holster that fastens to the seat and has a folding pouch that can accommodate a full sized pistol and is positioned right behind my calves. They come in different colors and blend in well with the seat and offer concealibility and quick access. It's not for everyone but works for me. I'm sure there are other designs that allow a quicker draw. Find something that works for you and give yourself the best tactical advantage you can find.

So this solution consists of a loose pocket hanging down in front of the seat? Sorry, but I can draw from the holster on my hip just as fast if not faster than reaching down between my legs, opening the velcro flap, then pulling a loose handgun from the pocket. This ranks up there with the Pager Pal as an idea that may have looked good in conception, but in reality is not so great.
To be honest, the best rig for driving--especially for those who are right-handed--is a shoulder holster, preferably one that keeps the firearm parallel to the ground (jackass style); but if you're like me with kids behind you I use one that cants the weapon downward...

But again, open carry is more like a spectrum than black and white. There are places it may well be restricted and reasonably so, times it might be restricted and reasonably so, conditions involving the ability of the carrier to reasonable carry any handgun and many other considerations.

Or just to aggravate anyone who's already having a bad day. But really, yes, thank you.But missing the cloth to hide it for clarity?
Yes, we the people, through our government, decide what is reasonable.Who gets to decide what is "reasonable"? The govt? There is no reasonableness clause in the 2nd amendment, for this reason. I can't think of one location where it would be reasonable to prohibit a citizen from carrying his sidearm.
Cheap, easy, and just throw a lint free rag over it.View attachment 153848

It is irrelevant what I personally think are reasonable rather it is a matter of what we as the society have decided is reasonable. Of course that varies from State to State, Local to Local and even event to event.Which 2nd amendment restrictions do you think are reasonable?
