OK, so I bought a compensator for my AK-47 and it has the AK-74 style flash hider on it. The threads on the 74 style hider are too large to fit the 14x1 LH compensator threads. I want to remove the 74 style hider and install a shorter smaller type and thread the barrel to 14x1 LH to accept the new compensator. Can anyone direct me in the right way to purchase the new front sight base? And can this be done with the barrel that is on it? The gun is a Saiga SGL21-61.
