Push on this one to find your weaknesses then train your weaknesses.

I've made more improvement as a shooter doing my run&gun matches (oedefense.com) in the last year, than I'd made in the last 20 years or so.

Got an email this morning about an M1 Garand competition going down on 4/22 @ the Temple Gun Club. Just an easy 30 round competition from. 200yards. I don't plan on placing, more just getting my feet wet for the experience. It would be a great place for Zackmars and TrailerParkTrash to hash out the great grease debate.

Ofcourse any tips are welcome.

Sling!

I shot the first 2 rounds not using the sling. The club rep gave a demonstration on how to set up and use the sling for everyone. Wound up shooting slightly worse with the sling, but still good enough.

Thanks for the congratulations everyone

I learned some stuff about shooting prone and using a sling. It was only my 3rd time shooting the rifle and 2nd time prone. Wednesday was my 1st.
