Does anyone else pre-load their mags before heading to the range?

Am I the only one that pre-loads mags before going to the range? I feel like loading at the booth, or bench kind of disturbs my rhythm, and I spend less time shooting because I'm reloading constantly. Yet, I see it every time I go, guys with their maglula, just standing there loading round after round instead of shooting. Shoot for 30 seconds, then spend 2 minutes loading, repeat...

So before I head to the range I usually load 10-20 mags (depending on my goals that trip), and I'm ready to go as soon as I enter the range. I can get in my reps, and I'm out in less than 30-40 minutes.

My wife got us matching pairs. I wear them out of respect, but I admit they are pretty comfortable.

About half. I don't like bringing a lot of stuff out, so mags (typically 4 or 5 for semis) are pre loaded, emptied, then reloaded, shot again.

I try and shoot less rounds, more often. Plus it's nice to sit and take a break especially during the summer

True. When I am bench shooting, I sometimes like to let the barrel cool off. That gives me time to do some reloading.

I know people hate on crocs, but they are really comfortable shoes for walking around the yard, way better than flip flops. All weather shoes that are very resilient to being damaged by the elements.

I'd generally carry 3 mags to the range, get there, and load them.
Then I shoot 2, put the 3rd loaded mag in the gun, before I reload the other 2.
Rinse, repeat.

For handgun trips, it's really the only way to go. Some of the ranges around here charge by the hour.
