It burns just fine. We've run straight diesel through fuel lines when we filled those fuel filters up with tranny fluid. No flux in idle or anything.

Sent while trying to concentrate on 6 things at once.

Im a ASE Master heavy duty/light duty truck mechanic and we use atf to prime the system when we change a fuel filter on any truck it not only burns but the detergents in it clean the injectors running a small amount of atf doesn't hurt.

The only easy day was yesterday.

    Def sucks big donkey d...
But don't add it to the fuel tank on late models that requires def prime the fuel filter with it when you change it and u will be good.

This will be my only diesel I'd like an old P pump 12 valve in a square body Chevy 4x4 but that's one of those fantasies

I know def doesn't go in the tank I thought you where asking about adding atf to your tank. On a late model truxk that requires def. Since my last post before that was about adding atf to clean injectors was ok.

I've run DK and AmsOil fuel additive. It seemed to make my PSD run quieter and I got about 1/2 mpg bump.
My objective was to extend the life of the injectors.

Modern injectors have a fuel side and an oil side.

In my case, the fuel side was great ... stiction got me on the oil side.
I coulda bought a decent AR at panic prices for what that cost me to fix.

So my input to the OP is that fuel additives have limited benefit and I can't wait till I get rid of this damn diesel.

Power strokes are the only light duty trucks by that I mean 1 ton or smaller that use high pressure oil to open the injectors so im sure he does

And since he's got stiction issues, we can further narrow it down to a 03-07 6.0 Powerstroke.
