Been rollin prepaid for a while cause I get unlimited everything for $50 a month but I'm thinkin it may be time to upgrade. Been runnin a nokia E71 and it's gettin harder and harder to post on TGT and sites that require flash are out of the question. Considering an HTC Vivid with AT&T. Any thoughts, second choice would be some version of the Droid phones with verizon.

Monthly bills are the same except I get 4GB with verizon as opposed to 3 with ATT. I know more people on the ATT network so i wouldn't have to stress over minutes though I don't do alot of talking. More of a web surfer.

Got any opinions, I-Phones are out. I want the android OS.

PS. tapatalk doesnt work on the E71, tried it but it won't go past the home screen.

I just left AT&T last year, with sprint now, pretty much the last of the truly unlimited data plans... might want to give them a look.

Not as worried about carrier coverage, they are pretty much equal in the areas I travel, sorry if I side tracked my own question. But more experience with the phones, and if 3 GB would cover 5 hrs of web surfing a day, not always that much but I figure a high average to be sure.

I have an HTC Vivid with ATT and am happy with it. Only you know whether or not you'll need a bigger data package...and its even hard to guess-timate as different apps use different amounts of data. Most of my browsing from my phone is still over wifi unless I'm in a major city like Houston where I can pick up 4G LTE. If you have any particular questions about the phone though, feel free to ask or pm me.

Verizon offers a mobile to any mobile plan that includes unlimited talk and text to ANY carrier. 95% of our 80+ million customers use less than 2GB of data.
The plan would run you $95 +tax a month and you might get a discount for your employer. If you are or were military you get a discount for that also. If you are comparing VZW vs. ATT, we have over 190 4G populations and ATT has less than 50. Thats because we invest over 6.5 billion annually into our network vs. ATT 2 bill. Keep in mind that Consumer Reports showed that ATT customers voted ATT the number 1 MOST HATED COMPANY IN THE USA.

I work for VZW in San Antonio. If you need help or have any questions, let me know. My work cell is 210-878-5016. If you're not in SA and you still need assistance, I would be happy to help a fellow TGT member.

I've decided to hold off for the time being. Work has become pretty stressfull so I'm tryong to prepare for a worst case scenario, and if things level out I should be getting a raise in couple months which will cover the higher phone bill and not effect my gun fund.

I love my Vivid, dont miss my iPhone at all, luckily i got grandfathered with my old unlimited data plan, so I never worry about usage. 4g speeds kick butt.
