This thread is only to keep track of support sent to Texas by other States to assist with the ongoing border invasion.

Below is the list (as of Jan 25) that have pledged support. I'll be checking them often to see if they follow through -
    • Governor Kay Ivey, Alabama
    • Governor Mike Dunleavy, Alaska
    • Governor Sarah Sanders, Arkansas
    • Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida
    • Governor Brian Kemp, Georgia
    • Governor Brad Little, Idaho
    • Governor Eric Holcomb, Indiana
    • Governor Kim Reynolds, Iowa
    • Governor Jeff Landry, Louisiana
    • Governor Tate Reeves, Mississippi
    • Governor Mike Parson, Missouri
    • Governor Greg Gianforte, Montana
    • Governor Jim Pillen, Nebraska
    • Governor Joe Lombardo, Nevada
    • Governor Chris Sununu, New Hampshire
    • Governor Doug Burgum, North Dakota
    • Governor Mike DeWine, Ohio
    • Governor Kevin Stitt, Oklahoma
    • Governor Henry McMaster, South Carolina
    • Governor Kristi Noem, South Dakota
    • Governor Bill Lee, Tennessee
    • Governor Spencer Cox, Utah
    • Governor Glenn Youngkin, Virginia
    • Governor Jim Justice, West Virginia
    • Governor Mark Gordon, Wyoming

If you find something, please add it only if it's from official sites, or vids of interviews with the Governors themselves pledging troops.

    Thanks!

Thank you @MountainGirl, for this. I'm VERY curious to see if Sununu, Burgum, and Kemp actually do honor their pledge.
    Thanks.

Ten States sent troops down last Aug to help; they may again now. It also might be the Govs will wait just a bit..to see what kind of 'direct to the border' actions FJB takes... to measure their own responses. Understandable. This whole thing is unfortunate and it's a good idea, imo, for us to keep track of who is doing what.

All help with this thread is greatly appreciated, and if y'all can keep it to States' actions - rather than random groups etc - even moreso. Thanks!

There just might (and I'm not saying there is) be a few groups scattered across
Texas that might be gearing up and ready to head our border.
    Snipers For Secure Borders? :shades:

Maybe we can run a separate thread for these kind of groups?
Kinda like to keep this one as focused on State responses as possible - Thanks!

From the office of Governor McMaster
    January 25, 2024

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Governor Henry McMaster and 24 other fellow Republican governors today released the following joint statement in support of Texas’ constitutional right to self-defense in response to the Biden Administration's continued attacks on their border security effort:
“President Biden and his Administration have left Americans and our country completely vulnerable to unprecedented illegal immigration pouring across the Southern border. Instead of upholding the rule of law and securing the border, the Biden Administration has attacked and sued Texas for stepping up to protect American citizens from historic levels of illegal immigrants, deadly drugs like fentanyl, and terrorists entering our country.
“We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border. We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally.
“The authors of the U.S. Constitution made clear that in times like this, states have a right of self-defense, under Article 4, Section 4 and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution. Because the Biden Administration has abdicated its constitutional compact duties to the states, Texas has every legal justification to protect the sovereignty of our states and our nation.”
Governor McMaster was joined by the following Republican governors in issuing the statement: Governor Kay Ivey (AL), Governor Mike Dunleavy (AK), Governor Sarah Sanders (AR), Governor Ron DeSantis (FL), Governor Brian Kemp (GA), Governor Brad Little (ID), Governor Eric Holcomb (IN), Governor Kim Reynolds (IA), Governor Jeff Landry (LA), Governor Tate Reeves (MS), Governor Mike Parson (MO), Governor Greg Gianforte (MT), Governor Jim Pillen (NE), Governor Joe Lombardo (NV), Governor Chris Sununu (NH), Governor Doug Burgum (ND), Governor Mike DeWine (OH), Governor Kevin Stitt (OK), Governor Henry McMaster (SC), Governor Kristi Noem (SD), Governor Bill Lee (TN), Governor Spencer Cox (UT), Governor Glenn Youngkin (VA), Governor Jim Justice (WV), and Governor Mark Gordon (WY).
On May 31, 2023, Governor McMaster directed the deployment of South Carolina National Guard troops to Texas to help secure the U.S. Southern border following the end of Title 42.

    OHIO - already there!

For those who cant/dont click on twitter links - that last part reads:

"... I also deployed approximately 375 Ohio National Guard members to Texas, including Ohio National Guard members who deployed in October 2023 and remain there today. I have also sent troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol to support local law enforcement with border security on two occasions."

Thanks, I'll check the FL govt sites for confirmation.

Found this - so maybe he's started. :)
    That last line reads:
"FL will keep assisting Texas with personnel and assets."

    Update -

I still like Kinky Friedman's (ran for Governor in 2006) idea that he referred to as the "Five Mexican Generals" plan, he said he would divide the Texas border into five sections and appoint a Mexican general to be in charge of each section.
Friedman said he would give each general $1 million to start with and reduce that sum by $5,000 each time an illegal immigrant crossed the border.
