    It is Ok to go to places that "sell" alcohol, but don't allow consumption on the property, correct???
    Yes, but what TheDan was noting is if I get busted, due to misinterpretation of the current law, AND things don't go my way in court in an establishment where they do sell alcohol, I'd be in felony waters not misdemeanor.

    MateFrio, I'll keep an eye out at my local Cypress Walmarts or Target for a big dude open-carrying a medium-sized knife. If I see you, I'll make sure to give you a high-five. :D

    so let me get this right. if i have a chl i can open carry one of these ?

    Open or concealed. As long as you have your CHL and are carrying a pistol, yes. 46.15 exempts you from *all* of 46.02 in those circumstances. 46.02 makes it illegal to carry a handgun, an "illegal knife" or a club. So you can lug around an ASP baton too/instead if you want.

    Sweet Jesus! Im a sucker for Damascus Steel. I'll have to take some pics of my Bowie to show you guys. Its a freaking short sword. Blade is like 14 inches. Im gonna try this out! Had no idea CHL exempted from this. What about a switchblade also? Should be same deal right?

    What about Stilettos? Quantico Tactical sells them but gave me a heads up they're only legal to have if you're in uniform. What's the deal with those?

    Stilettos are ok with CHL and gun.

    Good list:
    Any "Illegal Knife"

    (B) hand instrument designed to cut or stab another by being thrown;
    (C) dagger, including but not limited to a dirk, stiletto, and poniard;
    (D) bowie knife;
    (E) sword; or
    (F) spear.

    Bad List:
    Any "Prohibited" knife listed below

    (5) a switchblade knife;
    (6) knuckles;
    (10) a tire deflation device.
