I open carried Saturday when I went out to lunch with the wife and daughter. I saw another guy open carrying at the same restaurant, and we even spoke to each other a couple times.

That is a personal preference. People panic in these instances because the media and politicans have told them guns are bad and only bad people carry them like that. My question is why would a felon and criminal be open carrying in a public store? A felon or criminal is not going to open carry because he is probably known by local law enforcment or people who know him.More likely it will be a law abiding citizen doing that. I conceal carry because of the ignorance of the public some of who even panic in the prescense of a armed law enforcemnt officers in this society.

The difference between a conservative area and a more liberal area I guess. Last time I went to Dallas I open carried, and still nobody paid much attention. Of course now that is a bit colder out my open carrying is when it gets warm enough to take off my coat.

Folks here open carry at the Walmart in our small town here in SE Texas. Nobody even notices or doesn't even think about it.

That's pretty much around these parts too, in the summer I OC'd most everywhere and didn't notice others acting as if it was a deal.

Nothing creepy I was curious as to how folks would act. It's not like I was next to him whispering sweet nothings into his ear. I like to watch folks and see what they will do sometimes at WalMart. I guess it comes from some of the psychology courses I had to take. My observations are that there are large crowds of odd folks out there. My favorite observation was at the mall in SanAntonio when a Sugar daddy was escorting his girl in the mall. She was hot to the maximum. I was amazed at the number of men who could not look and walk at the same time.

I always catch myself staring when people are open carrying I try not too. I think they think it’s a stare of fear but I’m really just checking out their setup.
