Destructive little SOB vermin devil creatures.
    Cute! Ya right.

Chew the house. Chew wires. Chew hoses.
    Bastards.

One particularly hypervigilant male has been particularly unwilling to show himself to me.
This one chewed a 1" hole in the lid of my chicken-feed barrel before the last really big rain. 5 gallons of water on 100 lbs of laying mash is a mess!!!

I won't shoot anything bigger than my old Beeman .177 R-1 pellet rifle upwards due to some nearby houses and horses.
I do keep my suppressed 17 HMR close at hand for a coyote I'm after!!!

Mr. squirrel made his last mistake tonight.
He stopped out at about 50 yards on my side up high on a big oak trunk.
    Ha! Ha!!!!!!!
    Squirrel, meet your maker.

The old Swarovski on that 17 HRM Savage makes it almost too easy. The Silencerco Sparrow is a dream.

I took a pic but the PETA people would find me and cyber-bomb me.

    This describes it well:

Wife don't care, daughter run in telling me to get a gun if she sees one.

.17 HMR does a number on them.

    My favorite PETA story:

I took my son to interview at Texas Tech a few years back.
He wore a "PETA" shirt. The back said "People for Eating Tasty Animals".
Seems the very night before the "real" PETA broke into the biology building and let a lot of lab animals loose.
He got a lot of mixed looks. He is now a Tech grad BTW.

No good at cleaning squirrels, gave up and just remove them to prevent destruction of property now.

I usually end up ripping them in half, skinning. Damn hide holds tight to the meat.

Then I used Vice grips hung by a string out a cedar tree. Snap the pliers on his neck and skin down...(It's still a pain to skin)

I had a 30 gallon trash barrel. Left it out by a tree in a pasture next to house. I was gonna use it for a burn barrel. It filled about 1/3 full of rain water.

It was the best squirrel trap. I guess they were going after the water or something? It'd catch about two squirrels a week. Soggy dead basturds. Stinky too.

Shoulda tossed in an open jar of peanut butter.

    Question.

Does anybody else think the sound of the 22 bullet slapping the Hades out a squirrel....As one pretty kewl event? I couldn't tell you how many tree rats I've sent to the grave. Usually cooked with rice or thrown away(Pecan eating vermin). My youngest girl and her sister has ate literally pounds of it.

    Pop, zing.....Ka-Slap!......wiggle wiggle death wiggle.

Yup. Had them in my attic. Suppressed 22 with those powderless, super light weight 22 rounds did the trick.

I hit one the other day hanging on to the side of an oak with pellet rifle. Best shot I've ever had. I must have just blown its heart out because it didn't move. It was still stuck to side of tree. I initially thought I completely missed it and went to reload (single shot break action) and the squirrel was still frozen. I reloaded and walked up to tree and touched squirrel with end of barrel and it just fell off tree, motionless. Craziest thing.

Sent from some where out there.

Should have left him up there for some kind of bait (hawk, etc.?). But then again, he'd start stinking after a while. Good shooting?

A plethora of squirrel haters here it seems.
So PETA, we'll photo-bomb you with carcass pic!
    Nasty little bastards.

Got another yesterday with my suppressed 17 HMR.
Entrails all in a neat little pile about a foot behind the "cute rat".

    Icing on the cake:
The guts enticed a raccoon onto my cage trap.
The raccoons are at least as smart as my dogs so I like them.
Relocated him to the road in front of a buddy's house a few miles away!
    :)
