Yep, another reason to stay far far away from places like that.

Reading that I can only hope the results of their policies will finally flush themselves down the toilet once and for all

"...anyone wishing to purchase ammunition in California to first obtain a Ammunition Purchase Permit issued by the Department of Justice, valid for one year from the date of issuance. To obtain such a permit, the holder would have to pass a traditional background check as well as a mental health check..."

Of course asking for an ID of any kind so you can vote is not allowed.

This is just one of the MANY good people are leaving the state for more freedom. What will be left are the folks that don't or won't work, lots of big industry are also leaving, so who's going to fund all the welfare reciepants that vote these idiots into office in the first place, oh. I forgot, all the Hollywood elites.

Happiness will be Kalifornia in my rear view mirror!!!

I moved to CA in the early 80's, joined the LAPD and loved it. The state was conservative, the police dept was awesome (incorruptible, great pay and fun to work) and the weather was (and still is) the best. Things changed, though. Illegal immigration is out of control, the leftists now have a super-majority in the legislature and Gov Moonbeam is back. Used to be lots of GREAT gunshops in LA; no more. I retired and moved to the Hill Country. And while the weather there is STILL the best, it doesn't over-ride what's happened. I don't miss CA.

I left the Peoples' Socialist Яepublik of Kalifornia just when they started their communist/socialist/Marxist bullshit with guns. They made my .380 semi-auto retroactively illegal because the barrel is less than 3" long, making it by their "legal" definition, a Saturday Night Special. That was a long time ago but now they're starting to invade my current state, Nevada, making it necessary for me to move even farther away from that socialist hellhole. If I can ever stop getting sick, I can get my old retired ass in gear and moved to Texas.

And, yes, I AM bringing all my guns and ammo with me........

Oh, man. Moonbeam. Some of my friends out there think Moonbeam is "a secret supporter" or something, that he's hiding this pro-gun worldview from everybody else. Yeah... which is why he's acting the exact opposite.

You heard what happened to that gunshop in the LA area that gave rifles to officers to stop the Hollywood bank robbers, right? The state came in: "Oh, you released those firearms without the proper paperwork. We're shutting you down."

Screw that state. My ex can keep it.

    Liberate california? Heck no.

Texas needs to build a high fence and start running californian license plates out of town.

I didn't move here to live among hippie filth.

What, the gun shop thing? Yep. The state has its own dealer licensing laws (along with licensing for tons of other crap that doesn't need to be licensed), so if a gun store doesn't live up to CA standards, they get shut down.

And man, that's really the tip of the idiotic iceberg there. The things they've done or tried to do in that state...

Last I checked, they've pissed away $4.5 billion on a high speed rail project... and they don't even have a route, let alone any equipment, any land, a single inch of track or even any idea who is going to supply any of that stuff. Where did the $4.5 billion go!? Right into a bunch of peoples' pockets.
