I'm hoping to put a TA11E acog on my m1a in the next couple months. It already has a 3rd gen Springfield scope mount attached to the receiver, which seems like it will work well with and give appropriate eye relief for this scope.
Here's what I'm not sure about. I keep hearing the term "flat top rifle" on websites selling acogs, but I can't find a good definition of what that is... Since my scope mount is elevated over the receiver, I didn't know if I qualified as a 'flat top rifle', or if the bullet drop compensator on the TA11E would still be accurate at all ranges because of this?
Any help?
