The seller in my Cheap Glock 22s thread has a couple of those in his shop, for about that price. I think the one is about $9500, the other $8500. They just don't look right to me. I am a shooter, not a collector.

I don't even like the gold inlay on a 1911. In fact, I can't think of any gun I'd like with gold inlay. Unless you need a safe place to keep your gold and melt it down when needed, then you might have some functionality with the whole set up!

Glock would be the LAST gun I would doll up and try to make look pretty. Talk about lipstick on a pig. Looks are probably Glocks weakest selling point.

On second thought, Glock would come right after Hi-Point.

8000 bucks? Are they smoking crack?

I'd say $800 is a fairer price. Seriously- a talented person can buy a regular Glock and inlay it himself for about that much. What's really strange is that they did this on a 26, which is already a very niche gun strictly limited to serious work and NOT collectibility.

I wish Glock had a different marketing department. Some of the stuff they've been doing lately is just really embarrassing.

Not that it justifies the price in any way, but apparently it is very hard to engrave a Glock. I talked to an engraver at a LGS a while back and he said he could engrave anything but a Glock. He said he couldn't even get the right bits to do it. 1911s, XDs, M&Ps, no problem. Something about a Glock's metal hardness made it all but impossible.

I think a Glock is a beautiful tool, but yes, lipstick on a pig.
