Linky goodness? As you suggested, I looked at a calculator online and plugged in my numbers.

It was just one on the first page of DDG results. I don't remember the exact search terms I used but this is the first hit for "cholesterol ratios calculator".Linky goodness?
That is very interesting. I will definitely discuss it with my endo the next time I see her. My cardiologist, too.Ben the resting heart rate at 100 is somewhat caused by the ozempic/victoza class of drugs. Mine was the same and that's what t hgt e doc told me.

Vmax seems to have the knowledge on that subject.I’m very curious about that ratio thing.
I am fixing to embark on the Keto diet for my health issues. I was diagnosed with having high cholesterol, and pre-diabetic last week. Doctor prescribed a statin for the cholesterol, and a diet change. Bad part is, even after just five days on the statins, I was already feeling the side-effects. soreness and weakness in my legs and arms, anxiety and very irritable. A shout out to @vmax for pointing me towards the videos about cholesterol, diabetes and statins. Was very informative and helpful. Thank you kind sir for the help.
So I informed the doctor's office about the prescription, per the pharmicist's instructions about the prescription, and they said they would look into another prescription for me. I'm going to get a glucose monitoring device today, and try out the Keto diet and skip using a prescription for my medical issues at this time.
That may be true, and that is why I'm going to get a glucose monitor so I can see for myself what or how much I need to cut down on the carbs. You probably don't need to go full "keto".
Just cut back on the carbs.
I've been trying to stay at around 120/day, and this dropped my A1c 4 points in just a few months.
This. You probably don't need to go full "keto".

swearing off all sodas and any drinks with sugars
I suggest you don't do that. It's way too hard to quit sugars cold turkey. Ease out of them. The hardest thing to give up is bread and potatoes.
That's some good information Ben, and you are probably right. It might be better to "wean" myself off all the things I need to eliminate rather than just doing it all at once.This.

When I have truly dedicated myself to keto, it's been a disaster. My bowels were immediately filled with set concrete. I actually had to use a full dose of prescription colonoscopy prep medicine to have a bowel movement. Believe it or not, even though I took medication that normally has people sitting on the toilet within a half-hour, it took several hours to work on me. If you've been through a colonoscopy before and experienced the medication you take the night before to empty you out, then you know this is really atypical.
I've read that some people have the opposite reaction.
Either way, going instantly-total-keto seems like a really bad idea to me. It's too much of a shock to the system.
At least, it was for me.
If you're just pre-diabetic I wouldn't think you'd need a monitor. Your glucose is relatively low. But I would agree with cutting out the mountain dew to avoid those big sugar spikes to your system. This isn't my area of expertise so it's just my opinion though. That may be true, and that is why I'm going to get a glucose monitor so I can see for myself what or how much I need to cut down on the carbs.
The bigger concern were the "statins" because they have a tendency to push people into being diabetic, and since I'm already pre-diabetic and already at risk.
My doctor suggested getting one to monitor the levels. And I think it will give me a greater insight into what foods are doing what.If you're just pre-diabetic I wouldn't think you'd need a monitor. I am going "cold turkey" on the Mtn. Dew though. For many years, I have had at least a two liter a day of not more habit of Mtn. Dew.
