Well, since 90% of my posts are about my truck and my house, I figure maybe I'll post about guns for once. Truth is between budget and the fact I rarely shoot, guns are a lifelong hobby that has taken a temporary backseat to life.

Got an Essex frame a few years ago. From what I understand, they are OK. Not great..
Anyhow, where should I start in terms of sourcing parts? I have seen a lot of people use RIA parts kits, I guess I can start there?
Blank slide recommendations?
I think overall build will be a mix between sleek/classy and full on tacticool gaudy.
Gov't with a 6" barrel, comped or something else ridiculous.
I actually have a few parts, none of which fit, but I guess that's the fun. Magwell, beavertail, a couple barrels...
