Give me a break writes this author in AmmoLand blog

We weary taxpayers know from bitter experience that when it comes to effortlessly spending our hard-earned tax dollars on personal security for politicians, it can never be “enough!”

Luckily for them they make several times the median income plus have armed security all paid for by us. So whats another few dozen million more to keep those idiots safe?

Maybe politicians should just be taken to a range, given some basic training, and issued a 10-round limited Glock 19 upon taking office and told they don't get any security detail. If its good for the goose, its good for the gander, and if its good for the gander its good for the goose. No more executive protection details, no more advance teams, no more motorcades, no more wasting tax payer money. If these assholes had to be responsible for their owns safety and security maybe they'd see the light. Or maybe not, but either way - tax savings.

In addition to that, maybe it would encourage appropriate behavior.
