Well we now know how it turns out. Charges get dismissed as expected and predicted.. An ADA signed off on it. A Judge signed off on it. Yes you can carry those items. Are there more LEOs who cannot read the law and might make an arrest? Probably. Are there posters on this board who cannot admit when they are wrong? Definitely. Can we ignore them? Yes.

It probably is. We just do not know what was in the head of the DA to drop charges. But if the DA thinks like you and I, et.al, that his actions were legal, this sets a precedent that this is legal and will not be prosecuted, at least in that jurisdiction by that DA. LEOs are not likely to make arrests for things that go nowhere, and in fact, may come around to believe it is legal too. Not all precedent requires Case Law.

And that is fair enough.
