as some of you may know i work in a motel.

earlier last night, there were a couple of rooms that hadn't had their bills settled due to invalid CC information. One was a husband and wife and their kid. and the other was a cosmopolitan gentleman and his boyfriend. Unfortunatley neither group was able to provide an alternate form of payment, so they had to be asked to leave.

the family took about 20 minutes to collect their things and leave the room.

The homosexual fellows were gone in 3 minutes flat.
It seems, they already had their shit packed.

In the event if a fire, that's always the case, too.

I'm a "live and let live" kind of guy. I figure everyone ought to live their life the way they want to as long as they don't hurt anyone else.

Back when I was younger (and I suppose, better looking), I got hit on occasionally by gay guys. Some men might have gone into a rage and beaten Hell out of them but I just told them I didn't go that way and they left me alone.

I was divorced in 1975 and stayed single since then. I've had a lot of women in my life and I'm on a vacation from them now. That was supposed to be a temporary vacation but I'm enjoying being away from women so much that it may become a permanent plan! I don't hate women. I'm just tired of putting up with their BS. I have female friends but I just don't want to be in a relationship with them. Stated in my own terms, I'm fed to Hell up with women!

What I DO resent and won't put up with is the common notion that if I don't have a woman with me, then I must be homosexual. Never been one, never gonna be one. However, that's the way people think and it's a crock.

From observation, it appears that men keep a woman posted close by to insulate them from this homophobic nonsense. If you don't have a woman, you must be queer. Look............Here's my woman..............I'm not Homosexual.

    That's bullshit!

Even though it is a deviation form the majority, it is normal. There's always going to be a certain percentage of the population that is gay. It's been that way long before the concept of sin was created.

I honestly don't see what someone does in the bedroom has anything to do with mentoring kids. I would find it equally odd if a strait guy was talking about his marital relations in front of a bunch of kids. I just don't see how the subject would ever come up in a meaningful way. That said, the Boy Scouts are a private org and I support their right to allow or bar whoever the they want.
Would you allow your 11 year old daughter spend the night, or several nights in a tent with a heterosexual man you may not know all that well yourself? I would hope not! Same principle applies here.

Leaving your 11 year old son, with a homosexual male is the same thing and you're asking for trouble.

That's a valid point. I didn't realize they shared tents like that. I stopped doing scouts after elementary school... I wouldn't want my kid sharing a tent with any adult I didn't know that well. Especially if they are by themselves. I would hope there's always more than one adult around to keep the others in check.

Don't worry, there are always multiple adults that go along on the trips. When I was still in (got out of it when I was 14), I remember that the bare minimum of adults that -had to- go along was one for every three kids, plus at least two "floaters" who were there to take over if one of the others got sick or injured.

Personally, I outright detest anyone who tries to force their beliefs onto someone else, and I have nothing but hatred in my heart and ice in my veins for those who seek to demonize or villify others simply for being different. If you don't want a gay person around your kids, then pull your kids out of the group. Just don't actively try to ruin it for everyone else by spewing your "gays are evil, they'll rape or corrupt our kids" bullshit.

Seriously. How the **** does doing shit like that make you any better than the (mostly falsified/imagined) "evil" gays?

Edit: IMHO, the only issue with having gays in leadership positions is this (mostly religious) stigma that being gay is immoral or a sin, along with some horrifyingly illogical fear that a gay person is more likely to rape or molest your kids than a straight person. That kind of attitude stopped being the social norm about two decades ago, people. Either get on the bus or get yer ass outta the road.

The fact that it has become the excepted social norm is part of the decline in morality. I believe homosexuality is a sin and dont want my children around it. and i dont want my children being told its ok because it aint so there.

So, you're forcing your beliefs onto your children, and yet you're opposed to other people merely exposing your kids to different things?

Yep. You just went full retard in my book.

Out of sheer curiosity, what would you do if one of your children grew up to be homosexual?
