The Exhibit Hall is open all three days and will showcase over 14 acres of the latest guns and gear from the most popular companies in the Industry. From entertainment to special events, it’s all happening in Dallas! Make plans now to join fellow Second Amendment patriots for a freedom-filled weekend for the entire family!

p.s. NRA members get in free. One can join as price of admission. When I went to the 2018 convention in Dallas I carried concealed into exhibit hall. Only the area where President Trump delivered his speech prohibited carrying one's firearm. [I am very sure our current POTUS will not attend.] Also you can save money on parking by taking DART train right to convention center. DART parking is free. While all the big name firearms vendors can be counted on there were scores of small business represented that offer products/services you might want or need. You might have a chance encounter of the right kind meeting various personalities in the gun business. I met several just by chance.

If it is anything to do with nra, I will not attend. It appears the lifetime dues I paid did more to support the lavish lifestyle for the leadership of the nra than it did to represent me. They have got the last cent from me they will ever see.

Don't think of it like that but think that your dues helped lots of youths obtain vital ammo, equipment, and training and also helped keep shooting teams intact and ready for the next generation. Yes the Wayne suit crap is something but the money spent towards kids weighs more than all his suits combined.

If you still are a member you get in free. Could cost you just for parking or ride the DART which has station under convention center. I visited a lot of vendors and bought their products over the years.

OK, question for self or better someone who has voted at annual meeting for director to NRA board. It seems I need to get verified as eligible NRA voter during above hours. My plan is arrive Sat early to get verified and then attend annual members meeting after which [I guess] election of board members takes place.

Suggest one take DART rail to/from convention. I have used it in the past when attending this convention and others. Save gas, drive time, money on parking, aggravation with traffic. If you don't have rail station in your town go to any station and park for free.

    DART train schedules.

NRA could get a few bucks for being in town according to Dallas Morning News.

The National Rifle Association could receive up to $1 million in state and local money as an incentive for holding its annual meeting in Dallas this week, state records show.

According to the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Department, Visit Dallas applied in January for state aid to helpbring the NRA meeting to the city’s Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The city contracts with Visit Dallas to serve as its tourism and visitors bureau.

The state initially estimates it will pay the NRA around $862,000 and Visit Dallas estimates it will pay almost $138,000, state records show. The funding is part of the state’s event trust funds program that accepts applications from cities, counties and authorized nonprofits to get financial aid to attract events to Texas.

The state requires local contributions match state funding at a rate of $1 for every $6.25 the state puts in.

If anyone reading this is going there this weekend, please stop by the PTR booth for me and fondle the Archon type B gen 2 pistol on my behalf. I'm highly interested in, and intrigued by that pistol. Due to unexpected, unwanted, and damn sure unneeded mechanical malfunctions and breakages, I will not be attending the convention this year.

For those going Sat/Sun suggest take advantage of 'My Planner' function on website. One creates an account and then go through the list of events, exhibitors, etc. and click the + sign to add to your list. Then you can print it or download to phone. Save time and energy to see all the important stuff. After selecting any exhibitors they will post to a convention center floor plan to help you find them.

I posted a screenshot of the floor plan below. It is reduced in size to fit on this forum.

    Good show.

A few big names not there (Vortex, LaRue) but otherwise everything you want to see.

I took Dart from Plano, EZ-PZ.
