If you haven't been to the Alamo, then nothing else matters. I have visited the Alamo at least a dozen if not more times since I was a youngster, and I never grow tired of visiting the Alamo. If I happen to be visiting San Antonio, the Alamo is the first stop we make. The River Walk is the second.
Drive farther and go on a game ride @ The Y. O. Ranch Headquarters.
Buckhorn Museum is something to see. Also there are lots of other missions besides the Alamo. Witte Museum depending on the exhibits. Institute of Texan Cultures. Natural Bridge Caverns or Cascade Caverns.
San Antonio folks,
What are some of the must see or must do touristy things in San Antonio? Yes, I know about things like the Alamo and River Walk. I'm wondering about some of the less obvious things. Of particular interest are activities or sights in the northwest part of town.
Thanks!!
