Shame you weren't around when Bachman Pawn was happening.
I’ve been seeing some places list their inventory online. The internet has made individual items available across the country but also everyone knows its value and the days of finding a good deal are going the way of the dodo.

IIRC the old man wanted to retire & his kids were not interested in keeping it going. What happened to Bachman?

You could try Mike's Gun Room in Richardson - he's an ex-Marine who just shot some guy trying to rob him. He's been selling guns for 26 years. I'm sure he's got the blood cleaned up by now.
And just up the road is Plano Pawn - they usually have a decent collection of firearms. (I say "collection" because I'm not sure they're interested in selling them). Can be difficult to negotiate with.CBS Texas - Breaking Local News, First Alert Weather & I-Team Investigations

Ray's Hardware & Sporting Goods on Singleton Blvd. is supposed to be one of the better Dallas pawn shops for firearms. (Full disclosure: I've never been there). I'd recommend visiting during day light hours and best to probably take an armed escort with you.
I'm well known to be swab & deboner. Just ask any of the family......but you've got finesse.
