I would have no qualm with DVs using handicap spots.
I DO have a problem with allowing people who are NOT Vets to keep the DV plates even after the Veteran has passed.
PS: I am not a Vet.
At the range. Working. Ain't fired a shot.Where the heck has Vaq been?
Yes.Is it sad I had to Google Hank Snow?
Yes.
There are 2 types of DV plates. It's my understanding the ones with a small wheelchair on them can use HC spots. The others can't? Anyone know for sure?
Since he didn’t post it, I’ll post it for him.Sitting and waiting for the green flag now.
Cold beer in hand.
Well, I was really asking if other HEBs had DV posted parking but it's cool that other retailers respect Vets too.I've been to the Huntsville HEB only twice and noticed this sign Friday. Do they have them at other stores? Year round or select times?
Ive noticed those popping up in places, cant recall where exactly.
....but DV plate can park in the Handicap zone I believe.I’ve seen them at Twin Peaks in Odessa, the Abilene mall, and every Lowes I’ve been to in the last year or so.Lowe's on West Loop S has them in Houston, and also here in Hot Springs.
Morning all
Bottom line ... in Texas the DV plate, with or without the HC wheelchair, is all a disabled vet needs to legally park in a HC spot
