She reminds me of the carefree, gleeful, scintillating and overly ambitious high-school freshman girl that has the potential to become class valedictorian four years later and go on to graduate summa cumm laude from Rice.

She’s bright compared to a high school freshman?

I would hope so. She’s twice the age, and has a degree.

But that’s not really saying much.

She's so daft, I'm beginning to think her presence is a plot, conjured up by Conservatives.

Her statements are spectacularly, outlandishly, nutty, yet she ropes in bucket loads of idiot dem/commies who parrot her every word.

Then, when the stupidity is pointed out, a few of the chuckle-head commies disavow she ever said what she said......naw, she didn't say that, what she meant was.......yeah, sure........

She is a rich vein of stupid or crazy like a fox working for the Republican party working the 'long con'.......or maybe she's a female variation of Chauncey Gardner.....

One thing for sure: She's entertaining and her presumed colleagues are fun to listen to 'verbally disco dance' away when attempting to defend the indefensible she comes up with....

I'm sure I'll be corrected for saying this but I do not think any congressional leader has even entertained the idea of "free" health care.

They all know single party payer is terribly costly and will be taxpayer funded.
    ......
Still, our present system is, arguably, unsustainable. 2019 may hit $12,000.00 or almost $50k spent on care for an average family of four.
We pay more, are less healthy and die younger than most wealthy nations.
The feds controlling ridiculous drug prices is a good intention. The highway to hell is paved with good intentions.
Healthcare to those who don't earn it is what's "unsustainable". The more folks who get it without having skin in the game, the more we spiral down the toilet.

She's very bright. She got elected to congress at 29!
She's attractive too and intelligent attractive women are much sexier than dull ones.
    :)

I just don't agree with her.
No, she's wily like a feral cat. She's got instincts--attention-whore instincts. Like with her "Where's Mitch?" stunts, etc. But that doesn't mean she's smart.

I just don't agree with her.

She primaried a boring candidate who didn’t feel the need to campaign and one the general election by default. She actually won by a smaller margin the Crowley had in the previous election. A full 10 percentage points less. There is nothing amazing or intelligent about her victory.

Funny you can’t come up with other a supportive post without commenting on her appearance. You claim you disagree with her. Tell us why. If it’s for you he fact that her plans are obviously not feasible then that kinda kills the idea that she is somehow smarter than we think.

    Don't be so negative.
We are not influencers in the big picture anyway.

She reminds me of the carefree, gleeful, scintillating and overly ambitious high-school freshman girl that has the potential to become class valedictorian four years later and go on to graduate summa cumm laude from Rice.

Or maybe the energetic clumsy Labrador puppy that becomes the best bird dog anyone's ever seen, if you prefer that apt non-academic analogy.

On her present trajectory she may crash and burn or she may ascend to do great things.

She's an effervescent sparkly freshman. A shiny object the media likes a lot.
    We shall see.

    Oh....
And she's more attractive than Bernie.

    Bye.
I just mounted a very old target turret fixed power 12x Benchrest Luepold on friend's new 6mm Creedmoor (not 6.5mm)while he considers what optic to buy.
Back in a couple hours. Cold out!
The only thing is, she's already got a degree in Economics . . . and, apparently, didn't learn a doGdamn thing about realpolitik in the process.

Nancy Pelosi may run the House, But AOC runs the Democratic Party. She is their leader, they are all falling in line behind her vision and plans.

Problem is, she is a functional idiot. Nothing she says is even remotely possible. The world is going to end in 12 years? OK.

US to eliminate airplanes? Sure go tell SouthWest, American, Delta, United to stop buying planes for delivery in 10 years. Telling Boeing to scrap all new plane designs as they will not be delivered in time.

Tell NASA to scrap all plans for exploration. Tell SpaceX, Blue Origin, Orbital there will be no more launches in 10 years.

Upgrade all homes? How? Almost all home construction uses massive fossil fuel based machinery to mine or deliver the raw materials.

Eliminate all fossil-fuel based cars? There are 275 Million. Where do we put them? What do we replace them with. What about all the existing trucks, buses, machinery? Tens of million more.

This where got our energy in 2017:
    • Natural gas—31.8%
    • Petroleum (crude oil and natural gas plant liquids)—28.0%
    • Coal—17.8%
    • Renewable energy—12.7%
    • Nuclear electric power—9.6%
How do we replace 77% of our fossil fuel based energy sources in 10 years.

I could go on and on.

A degree in economics and still thinks accounting errors mean there is extra money to use.

    Agree.
    Ever see this movie?

While personal irresponsibility is a large component it does not address the corporate greed that fuels big farm and big insurance that our Democratic leaders are attempting to take on, likely with nothing good to come of it.

    I enjoyed super size me.

As for the greed part, sure. Sick people make money. No one makes long term investments if you cure people.

As for food manufacturing, and I was on the inside, it’s so full of trash. So many toxic substances are used as an example for flavor enhancers. The flavor enhancer in gateraid is so toxic in raw material form, we had to sign wavers and wear respirators. It’s then diluted to the point it’s ppm is safe.

My main point was just eat your fruits and veggies. They pack good components.

I don’t know that the entire party is falling in line. Many have seen the pew polls showing that 75% of Americans approve of Trumps SOTU speech and 60+% of Dems want the party to become more moderate.

There is talk of primarying Cortez or even eliminating her district in 2020.

But many of the far left Dems are trying to ride the media wave propping her up.

Yeah I mis-spoke. I meant all of the people talking are falling in line. I am yet to see any Dem reject her vision and plan. So far, all of the POTUS candidates who have spoken have fallen in line with her GreeNewDeal.

AOC is like a child dreaming of wishes, and like a child, she doesn't really understand why dreams can't always come true. The intelligent person reasons things through before acting, the childish person wants it now no matter the reasons against. AOC fits the latter.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 describes hell as a place without reason.

Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket?

The Green New Deal is all about creating a socialist society based on the sense of fear of global warming.
The intent is to make the upper class poor, the middle class destitute and everyone beholden to the new Green Globalist Politburo.
