Had to Google fortnight dances, don't get it....
Wait until you see a group of 3rd and 4th graders doing it with no music.

Thanks Jeremy for that explanation - wasn’t following that fortnight comment. (I knew in British English a fortnight is two weeks but had no idea about a dance called that).

    McAlester, OK
I always thought my Dad was just joking about a small town Named Bugtussle until I labeled a crossroad south of West on an I-35 Right-of-way plan.

Bugtussle is a small community North of McAlester, OK that is most famous for being the birthplace of Carl Albert.....

(I knew in British English a fortnight is two weeks but had no idea about a dance called that).
No, the dance isn't called Fortnite. That particular dance is the floss. It's done by characters in the game Fortnite. If you look, you can find pages dedicated to collecting and rating the dances done by characters in Fortnite; the floss is just one of them.

It's so incredibly sad that I know this.

ETA: Something I didn't know is that according to some sources the dance was invented, in real life, by a kid named Russell Horning, aka The BackPack Kid, who became famous when Katy Perry featured him in a musical number performed on Saturday Night Live.

For the curious, here's that performance. Russell does his thing at about the 2:40 mark. Personally, I don't understand the point of throwing a kid onto a stage full of drag queens; it's thematically inconsistent/artistically jarring. But whatever. They're artists, right?
