I checked, this is a legit news site: http://www.fios1news.com/longisland/protest-over-farm-cow

Sherriton still believes he should buy meat from the store.
"He doesn't need this cow to survive and feed his family. He puts a sob story on there. Please, tell him to go to Whole Foods and go get some anti-biotic free beef there," she said.

Anything over 700# is an as* to butcher. Tree won't hold the carcass to drop the guts. You get to chop a bovine up in between rail road ties. Stuck on both sides of the cow. 4 stupid hooves in the air.

The guts are the fun part. At least 150# of slimy, steamy, stank things. It's like wrestling a lubed' catfish, that doesn't have bones.

Tail thrown to the dog. Tongue comes out the back the head. Hold the liver up with the gall bladder hanging. Cut that off, free fall.

Large tractor with a front end loader lifts the carcass and scoops them up for the compost after.

I've never enjoyed eating cow liver. Until I had a fresh out the cow after one day. The sealed up store bought liver isn't even close to the flavor.

The only thing we'd pull off the head was the tongue. The rest of the head went to some Mexicans in trade for some tamales.

We hung the meat up in an old ice cream truck refrigerator box trailer. It wasn't big. 4-5 days later. After rigor mortis set in and the meat relaxed, we'd pull it out and cut it up.

Meat band saw and lots of cutting.

If people tasted the meat of a farm raised cow. They wouldn't buy the meat at the store. The flavor isn't close and very few people know it.

Hate to say it for such an old fellow, but it sounds like it's time to pack up and move. I bet he could buy a pretty decent spread, with much more understanding neighbors, if he sold his place and moved pretty far South.

    The best part.

See, you either corral the bull or stick him in a stock trailer for 24 hours. It empties the gut. Makes it easier to gut the animal.

Last one I did. Stock trailer. Peckerhead got hungry and busted the fence. He won't do that in a stock tralier. Make friends with Jesus........Now.

One single shot from a 22 long rifle. Right between the eyes. It's a sight to see. For the lack of a better description.........It ~Turns~ his as* off like a light switch.

KA-BOOM. He hits the floor of the trailer like a wet bag of chicken. Cut his throat to bleed him out. Bleeding keeps the meat from tasting like blood.

Yeah, he shouldn't have to move. If he is getting threats the law needs to step in and step up. The rest of them fools need to grow the hell up.
And leaving, too much like running.

I would be very tempted to execute the cow right in front of the protesters. They would be so offended that they would probably implode.

That is a popular misconception, and I have heard it for years. However, if the heart is no longer pumping, the animal won't actually 'bleed out'. You will get a little oozing, but the circulatory system isn't going to entirely (or even nearly entirely) void itself strictly due to gravity.
