I gotta vote for WST. Soft shooting, clean, no smoke, no flash, accurate as I can be. Friend suggested it I tried it and liked it so much I asked the Dillon to make another 200 rounds last Saturday morning.

I load it with both 230 grain and 200 grain.

I've reloaded .45 ACP for a long time and tried a lot of powders. This is a very "forgiving" cartridge that does well with many powders. I've had good loads with Unique, W231 (which is the same as HP-38), Bullseye, PowerPistol, Titegroup, CFE-Pistol, and Longshot. (And maybe a few others I've forgotten.)

Having said that, my favorites are Bullseye and CFE-Pistol. That may be because they feed consistently with the press setup I use (Lee).

Also, if you haven't tried them, Polymer coated bullets work very well for target rounds. Consistent shooting, cheap price, and no copper or lead fouling.

I use Varget for 6.5 Swede, 308, and 45-70. I use mostly Unique for 44 Magnum and 45 acp. I do also use Blue Dot, Bullseye, and H110 for the pistols occasionally.

I've used AA5 and 7 on 45. I still have a jug of Unique, but mostly switched to Accurate powders the last 10 years or so. They burn cleaner than most.
