    Ridiculous.

I never even got the memo, and don’t understand, why “oriental” is now verboten...

Because they don't want to admit you exist. Much easier to push a narrative when there are only 2 colors. Black and everything else.

I can agree with that. It makes selling their narrative much easier, to push the point that only blacks have been oppressed in this country by slavery. When if you look at the history of our country, blacks were not the only race of people in this country that have been oppressed, in slavery, or discriminated against.

In no way, am I making light of what happened to the black Americans in our country for several centuries, and all the struggles that they have had to endure even after slavery was abolished, but at some point, you have to move forward, and stop trying to live in the past.

But to try and make people believe that this only happened to one race of people in our country, just isn't fact ,or even rooted in any semblance of reality.

If you want to rid ourselves of racism, we need to stop dwelling and harping on it for perceived transgressions. Racism is wrong. It doesn't matter where it comes from, or who it's directed at. It's just wrong.

Having researched our family tree knowing we landed here from England in the 1600s and that nowhere in the lineage did any of my families past generations OWN a slave these people can pound sand if they think I will pay them.

I'm fairly certain that both my patrilineal grandfather's and grandmother's great grandfathers owned slaves, but WTF does that have to do with me?

With the exception of the one link you posted Jack, seems like nothing you linked is founded in "slavery reparations" and the one source you did link in one post, is only saying it's being advanced to be discussed. That is hardly a law that anyone will be repaying slavery reparations.

The other links, seem rather legitimate to me, and not only focused on providing for black Americans. IMO, you are either a closet racist, or at the very least a bigot, who is trying to muddy the waters about minorities getting aid to better themselves, while confusing the issue while crying about slavery reparations. You should be ashamed f yourself.

I don't see any problem with minorities getting help to better themselves and to have a good life. Many have been discriminated against for far too long. But I am against slavery reparations, simply because it's just another form of welfare. Aid is one thing, but welfare handouts are wrong.
