Anyone here ever owned a Yamaha Banshee? I've been in the market for one in awhile. Just haven't found one that isn't a clapped out POS nearby. The want is bad.

No love for the twin cylinder two strokes? Going to scope out this one on Sunday.

My 2-stroke days were on 2-wheels. When we were at Ft Hood (2010-13), I picked up an early-90s YZ250 for $300. Running thru the motor was about ~$1200 to bring it back to new-ish condition.

Reed valves and plastic were hard to come by, IIRC. If you aren’t confident doing your own engine work on 2-strokes, just pass on it because they all need some work done routinely.

I'm pretty comfortable working on them. Single cylinders anyway. Have had a few dirtbikes, and an old ATC 250r. Never had a twin though. Syncing up Carbs would be new to me, but I know there are single carb set-ups available now. Aftermarket support is pretty good for these old quads.
