Does anyone know who provides XRF scan services i Austin. I have this old likely WW1 trench device that likely attached to some sort of firearm to shoot from trench cover. I have not been able to identify it though and was hoping that maybe metal scans could at least indicate where it was made.

A lead inspector, risk assessor, project designer company may have one. Or a XRF rental company may do it in their office.

This one is similar to yours, it's attached to a Mauser. The one you have is very interesting and different. Looks like parts of the periscope might be missing. Of course it could also be a completely different device, many weird things were made for the trenches of WWI.
