With something like a firearm, it is 100% fair to request a bill of sale to document transaction, to protect seller in case something nefarious happens down the road…

Imagine getting a knock at the door about a firearm that YOU purchased being used in a crime, and having to tell the investigator, “Yeah… I sold it to some guy online. I can’t find their account. They must have deleted it. Oh… their name? Um… it’s been a year, so I forget. I think it was dennisz or something?” Yeah. Straight to jail if you live in Austin or any of the other democrat-run cities and possibly even in others.
