Looking for a used sig 226 in either .357 sig or 9mm. I dont mind if it has been used quite a bit. I can get a new one for around 600 but I want something for my truck that is not going to cost me an arm or a leg if it gets stolen.

It bothers me that your buying plan includes the possibility of the gun being stolen. Address that concern first (separately) before you buy...and buy the one you really want. ;)

BTW, can you share where you can buy a new Sig P226 for $600? Thanks.

I dont really put my finest items in my car because in todays day and age anyone can break out a window and steal anything they would like. I have plenty of very nice pistols, but I am a college student and money is tight, so replacing them would be years from now. I really would just like a reliable 357 sig because it is the ideal vehicle weapon with its ability to penetrate car doors. But the new one is through a dealer buddy of mine, if i cant find a used one that is the route I will be headed.

Maybe you should check console vault...or something similar to secure your gun if theft is a big concern.

    Good luck!
