I love my 45-70 by Henry. The only flaw it has ever had was its trigger pull. This trigger pull is heavier than a dead hooker. I ended up buying this spring off of Wolff, SKU: 33101 https://www.gunsprings.com/MARLIN/39A, 94, 95, 336, & 444 SERIES/cID2/mID101/dID169

based on the guidance from here: https://www.triggershims.com/henry_rifle.php (they sell the same springs for way too much but scroll down to the section titled "TECH TIP: Marlin Springs for Henry Big Boys")

I need to try it out with factory loads and reloads though but holy cow what a difference. It must have went from 7-8 pounds down to 3-3.5 pounds. I'll wait until after I test it out before giving it the blessing but if I have the same results as the guy in that website, Ill be happier than amy schumer at the slop pen

Looks like some of my Marlins are due for an upgrade. My 1895 seems to have a really nice factory trigger. I was considering upgrading to the wild west trigger for my 1894 though. Maybe I should try these first.

Side note where did you find the Barnes 45-70 ammo.

Found it in a gun store in weatherford while heading south to hunt about a year ago. Expensive as hell but worth it with these results. I have all I need to start working up handloads though
