I am guessing at this point you are as addled as Brandon.

Abbott and the legislature absolutely destroyed a lot of small businesses and financially ruined a lot of Texans, and a majority of those were probably Texans that voted for him last time.

They are ruined fiscally , in debt to their ears and no longer have a livelihood. All. Because. Of. The. Sitting. Republicans.

Why would they vote for them again? What platitude would you tell someone who has lost everything to get them to vote for the person that caused it?
Obviously a conservative is not voting for a commie, but why would they vote for the cocksucker that ruined them ? I would understand completely if they sat the election out.

Nobody said anything about “VoTinG fOR tHE DemS”
If you are not smart enough to understand this, please add me to your ignore list.
It’s simple - if enough people don’t vote for Abbott (assuming he is the nominee) for the reasons you stated, the the Dem wins. The net effect is the same.

Ted Cruz won re-election by less than two percent in 2018, and since then there have been untold move ins from places like California and the big Democratic machines in places like Bexar, Harris, Travis, and Austin counties have worked on perfecting their election cheating. Our future hangs by a thread.

    That place east of Waco....
While the OP started that way, someone declared that they wouldn’t vote for Abbott in the general election. Enough people thinking like that and we end up with Governor Beto.
If enough people thought like that, we wouldn't be stuck with RINOs like Abbott and Cornyn in the first place.

Attitudes like yours are why elections end up being about which flavor of crap sandwich you're choosing to eat. Some of us would rather not take a bite of what you're serving....

    It's all a political quagmire.

I agree. However, his saying “Let’s Go Brandon” in that interview means I’ll prolly vote for him.

So, you would tell the person that was completely ruined by Abbott and the republican legislature’s bullshit covid lockdown policies to vote for him?
This Governor more likely than not financially ruined someone you know.

Tell me how you would convince them to vote for the same dickhead that deliberately bankrupted him?

Every time with you handwringers. Every time it’s always “bUt thE deMoCrATs wOUld dO WorSe”

If a republican destroyed everything you spent your life building, tell us how the “Democrats would be worse” convince that guy.

Interesting to hear all the arm chair QBs with their analysis. He followed the 'science' issued by 'experts', didn't work well for us, so blame him. Never got laid off or had your Co close? Never got to 'executive' position and had to make major layoff? Spanish Flu only had masks and distancing to 'cure' it, our leader was in the same situation. Doesn't help that the LOCAL Pols. want to keep up the shut-down. So, yes and yes. West doesn't have what it takes but does talk a good story, yes, he's a good guy. Cornyn is a different story. The winter storm created a problem Abbott tried to solve, at that time! All his efforts were shut down so leg. goes after ERCOT. They were not the blame either. EPA and Fed caused our problems.

…Ted Cruz won re-election by less than two percent…
And Beat-0 outspent Cruz better than 2:1 with a shît ton of outside dollars in the most expensive Senate race in US history. And Cruz pretty much didn’t campaign at all until six weeks or so before election day while Beat-0 spent a year plus selling his pitch. Had Cruz won in recount territory then I would be more worried.

But what Beat-0 is really good at is getting his name out there and regurgitating what potential supporters want to hear. Makes for good fundraising the first time, but the fact he couldn’t stay in the D race for President nomination and didn’t get an offer for a political appointment in the current cabinet speaks volumes.

Let me try this another way. A republican rapes your daughter and gets away with it through some procedural technicalities. That same republican gets the nomination for something in your voting district. You KNOW the republican is a scumbag rapist.
You know the democrat running against him is a communist scumbag.
Why would you vote for either of them?
Strawman argument, said predators are killed. Or would be.

How does Col. West NOT have what it takes? He's lead men in battle, he stood for his principles even after his Article 15 he said he'd make the exact same decisions again. He's been a member of Congress before - so its not like he's inexperienced in leadership or decision making.

This lady blamed COVID on the internet while flying Delta earlier this week.

Maybe the Chicoms looked up "how to do gain of function" and "what virus can we mutate to kill a bunch of people" and "how do we get grant money from the United States" or something

Because he fundamentally is going on feelings vs principle. Reference his position on abortion.

So according to Newsweek - a fairly lefty publication - Allen West was praising the recently passed Heartbeat Bill.

West as Texas GOP Chair was a plaintiff in a lawsuit filed against Greg Abbott for his extension of COVID inspired early voting - the biggest benefit of long early voting periods being more opportunity for voter fraud.

Here's another paper attacking West for supporting pro-life organizations and President Trump from 2016.

    Col. West, as quoted within

We have an opportunity to destroy progressive socialism

    Another snippet from the article

West said Sunday the sphere of influence of what he referred to as the abortion industry can be reduced.

“No one wants to be part of a death culture,” he said. “But if we’re not careful, that could be the legacy we pass on.”

He said he couldn’t think of a better time for the anti-abortion movement to go on the offensive in the United States.

“We will not be truly blessed as a nation until we right this wrong,” he said.

Here's a much more recent article out of Tyler.

An excerpt, covering his pro-life stance

He critiqued Senate Bill 8, also known as the fetal heartbeat law, which goes into effect on Sept. 1 and bans abortion after six weeks into a pregnancy. The law also allows citizens to sue a physician who performed an abortion after six weeks into a pregnancy.

West said SB 8 has no criminal penalties, and he thanked the cities, such as Lubbock, that have become sanctuary cities for the unborn, which means there’s an ordinance outlawing abortions within a city.

“I want to see Planned Parenthood out of Texas,” West said. “Folks are talking about Black Lives Matter, which Black lives matter? Not the Black lives being murdered in the womb, not the Black lives that are suffering with these failing schools in our inner-city communities, not the Black lives that are suffering because they have the traditional two-parent household. We need to stand up and fight for these things.”

It seems to me, that the Colonel is very pro-life, anti-abortion.
