The only beer I will pay for is Shiner Black Lager, I really like my alcohol dark and strong. I've tried several others but end up dumping them out. I'm weird what can I say....
I used to drink that pretty often, pretty good stuff. At 4.9%, that's a light beer now. :D. If I get below 6.0%, that's on the light end of the spectrum.

Here's a good one if you like dark and strong.

    Not where you are
Beer snobs are as bad as any other snobs, maybe worse.

You like Shiner? Fine...so do I. But putting down another guys preference is rude and obnoxious.

Not a dang thing wrong with Bud, ZBock, or LoneStar.
    Rude and obnoxious. Probably.
Been know to speak my mind.

So easily offended by beer remarks.

    Hmm.

Ill drink any FREE COLD beer (well almost any) but if its on my dime the above applies.

Recently, the bottle caps on my Lone Stars changed to generic aluminum. Before, they had a star on top and a corny riddle underneath. The last two times I went to buy beer, there was no Lone Star, in bottles anyway.
So, I am now a consumer of Shiner Bock.

I've had the same experience. I can't find Miller Lite in bottles. Miller Lite is my preferred beverage, but I recently settled for a 12 pack of bottled Shiner Bock, my second favorite alcoholic beverage. It's been 40 years since I've had a Lone Star Long neck. Might try that next. I remember it tasted pretty good, but you have to get it really, really, cold. Like out of the fridge and into the freezer for 20 minutes cold.
