Buy her a lightly used police cruiser and paint it yellow. Don't forget that special oil and put a Taxi decal on the doors.

And obviously also someone who can afford ridiculous amounts of gas at today's inflated prices. It is a sweet car, but definitely not an every day driver. EDIT: I apologize if I sound negative. I will now change my tone to a more appropriate one. I would buy her something with auto-locking doors - because most women never learn to lock their doors and that's why we have car jackings.

    VW sign then drive....
On the high end I like the Infiniti anything. It is tough to beat the considerate treatment that the dealers provide. I would also second the Subaru Forester, it is a pretty good all around vehicle. This is Texas, have you looked at a pickup?

My wife is 5 foot 5. She has driven Acura, Chrysler, and Nissan. She wants a car she can drive. What car is the best.

Having driven just about everything under the sun, my answer is "yes".

Others are right; this is like asking "what gun is best" or "what caliber is best". I mean, you told us her height, but not her driving skill level, or what she wants out of a car, how much cargo, kid hauling capabilities desired and so on and so forth.
