At home I shoot mostly handguns, but that's mainly due to having at best 50 yards to shoot. At the range I spend more time shooting rifles, about 3/4 of the time spent. Punching holes farther than I can see them with the naked eye is a blast. Also, bringing down the ferocious rabbit is exciting.

I did lots of rifle shooting/killing as a kid, and into my teens.
Never shot anything past 200yds. Probably.
Don't much miss it now.
I like pistols because I wasn't good with them and it required more effort on my part.
