Ocassionally I score something at Academy. Today I got the last box of Sierra 40 cal HP 180gr. Going there is like playing the slots or blackjack. I win enough to keep playing but thats all.

Academy in Humble had several boxes of the Sierra .40,some .350, 17 and lots of shot gun shells.
Manager said they have a truck coming this Thurs. and Fri. Lines will start around 7am.
This was around 0930 today.

Humble gets trucks Monday Thursday and Friday. If you want the popular stuff like 9mm, 40, and .45, you’ll need to be there early, before they open, and wait in line. I usually try to show up about 9-9:15 when the line is mostly gone and see if they have anything I can use.

Forgot to mention that there is an Academy in New Caney, about 10 miles north of Humble, that I think is on the same delivery schedule as Humble. I’ve picked up 2 boxes in Humble, then went to the New Caney store and got 2 more. I’ve noticed they usually all get the same product in stock, but occasionally one of those stores will have something the other doesn’t.

Ordered a case of 7.62x51mm FMJ ammo yesterday. Can use it to practice with my rifles in 308 and conserve, mostly for actual field use, what 308 SP ammo I have on hand.

Almost got the kit installed before my baby shift came up.
