Not a complete new gun, but close.......
Picked up a 6 mm ARC complete upper assembly.
Match grade, 20" stainless steel barrel. 1:7.8 twist.
Stainless steel muzzle brake. New 15 round mags and 300 rounds of ammo.
Heard differing opinions on this caliber. Gotta be some hype for sure. But the ballistics look pretty good at distance. It was an itch, I admit. If I don't find it attractive, off it goes and the 5.56 mm upper goes back into place. Range time is next.

Well, I reached back into history a few years...a S&W 28-2 from the 70+ yr-old daughter of a former deputy sheriff up by Amarillo. Obviously carried for a number of years - included 3 old original speed loaders and a set of cuffs...

Let's just say the price was VERY right.

Beautiful! I’ve been hoping some kind of sweet deal on an older 27 or 28 would pop up for me. I get my hopes up on gunbroker, then in the last 5 minutes the bidding goes apeshit.

It's happened to me more than once. Just try finding - and bidding on - a gun last made 40 years ago....and they made less than 100 of 'em TOTAL over a 2 year period.

Been wanting one of these for a while now. Never saw any for sale locally, but I made a drive out to academy north of Houston and found one on clearance for $215. A little bruised up from being on display for a while but otherwise a good deal in my book. Going to slap an optic on and use it as a can host.
