A Model 70 featherweight 270 Made In The USA by BACO Morgan Utah. I did as much research as I can and it's probably made in between 1989-2006 or there about. It could even be made anytime before 2013 when BACO shipped plants to Portugal. Anyway It's a beautiful rifle and shoots tru with the Burris Fulfield E1 3-9X40 scope. These 3 and 5 shot groups after I zero'd in the scope are at 100 yards with a 10 mph headwind.

A very nice firearm for my first rifle and it came with a sore shoulder LOL!

    .270 is a fantastic round, and can’t beat a Model 70! Congrats!

Thanks it's a kicker to the shoulder, but I'm hearing that it's a big game hunting round on the low end of elk, mule deer and such. I found out it was made in Columbia S.C. in 2012 from Winchester customer service on the web.

Very cool! Keep an “eye” on that scope. It’s a little far back and may punch you in your socket if you’re not careful.

Brownells just happened to have it "In Stock" so I had to do it. Nothing like spending a bunch of money at 2AM.

Brownells is on point. Bought at 2am, shipped at 10am.

    Just traded a scope I didn’t need for a maverick 88 shotgun. It’s the 18.5 barrel 5+1
    12 gauge model.
I now have 2 maverick 88 shotguns. I will be looking for the longer barrel for this one soon.
I picked up a mossberg 500 18.5 from crzy_one yesterday. Similar boat. Looks like it's almost as cheap to buy another maverick 88
