My wife’s chomping at the bit for one of these. I had a golden boy back in the day. Great gun.

Did I need it?? dumb question. It was a "HOT BUY" special. It's not gonna get any cheaper. Of all the Houston area Academy's(Yah, you read that right), there was ONE available. By the hair of my chinny-chin-chin, I grabbed that ONE. It was the store at 290/34th.

    Gunz are icky.
Let us know how it runs. I prefer a bisley grip. Regular SA grips dont work for me

Just back from the range with it.
Runs fine. No issues except the point of impact is way low due to the fixed sights.
Windage is dead on. I just need to file a touch off the front sight to bring POA to POI.
Pretty typical on these Italian repro guns.
I tried several different bullet weights. They're all low.
This is my first true Colt style Bisley grip gun. It feels strange but I'm warming up to it.

Damn that’s not bad. These sales need to hold off until the summer though. Gotta pay off a truck first before I can go back to fun spending. Or I can put on a tube top and hit the street corner

$349.99. If you have an academy card, it's another 15% off. $322 and change I think.. I don't know how long that price last.
Range USA is getting rid of all their lever action rentals. Something about an accident with an inexperienced shooter at one of the locations. The store in Humble has the Henry H001 rental for sale at $319 IIRC. @1911'S 4 Me can correct me if I’m mistaken

Getting to where I’m just filling holes in my collection of rifles I don’t have. Saw this one at a pawn that was priced way low and it filled that niche. Seems like Beretta had a good idea with the ARX100 being completely ambi, and not needing any special tools to remove the barrel or disassembly but the ergonomics suck

No, it has a safety only, which I prefer. The 85 F and FS models that came after the BB series has a decocker.
An 85BB will allow one to carry the gun in SA mode with a safety on, like a 1911. To decock the BB model, it has to be done manually by thumbing down the hammer, which also can go into half cocked mode as well (DA trigger pull)
Great reason for keeping those old giant phone books. . . . . .

Picked up this guy today. Hard core de-horned and FT Bullseye night sites. Purpose built for </=10 yard engagements. 50 rounds down range and it smoothed out nicely. It hits where the green circle resides at 15 yards. Not much use past that I think. Been looking for a pocket carry pistol as when not at work I wear gym shorts 9 months out if the year. Getting tired of the man purse fanny pack.
