What gun did you buy today?

A Ruger GP 100, blue, 4.2" barrel, went to pick it up at FFL yesterday and it was a used gun from grabagun. I told them I refuse it and to send it back.

Pawnshops never fail to amaze me. Saw this WW2 P38 earlier this month and decided to go back for it since I was off of work today. Price was $1200 and he wouldnt budge more than a $100 off. Then he comes back with if I will do $1200 he will throw in my choice of a used Mossberg Maverick long barrel or a New Akkar Churchill. Thought about it for oh a second or so and left with these two for $1200. Couldn’t drop the price more than $100 but willing to throw in a $400 for free

Went pawn shop trolling today. Found this old war horse.

Poor old thing was filthy but looked fine under all the grime and gunk.
Got her scrubbed up. Locks up and timing are spot on.
Looks like she was carried a lot but not fired much. Lots of “character”.

S&W Model 10-5
This one screams for a Tyler T grip. Working on that now.
Also needs some leather. Working on that as well.

Made a quick trip to the indoor range with this one just now.
100rds. Zero issues.
Pretty much dead on the money @ 7yds with 130grn FMJ’s.
Wish I had some 158grn lead round nose. Bet it’s lights out with those.

I had a 5” version back in the late 80’s. Great gun. Super fit and finish. It was danged accurate as well. Enjoy it!

Ditto. I used to frequent Tomball Pawn years ago, but fell out of the habit. It got awful popular and “mainstream”. The deals kinda went away. I sure as heck learned the lesson to never trade a gun to a pawnshop.

I picked up this lower and decided to do a little color fill on it. I know, I know. My artistic skills are not the best . I'll do a little clean up and touch up after it sets good, but overall I'm pleased with the way it turned out.
