now that I don't have to have a license from Texas? That's a very good and important question. I am sure the readers of this forum will have lots advice for the novice Texans 'packing heat'. Here are a few points offered online from NRA's American Rifleman.

You might give this question some thought ahead of time via this forum. What say you?

Actually, the linked article and OP are addressing more general principles that apply to daily carry and that do not have anything to do with Constitutional Carry. The topic has been covered extensively in plenty of different threads in the Texas Concealed Handgun subforum. This subforum is meant to deal with how things are about to change; a general guide post isn't really appropriate.

I'd advise people to read the OP link and read the CHL subforum extensively for the advice the OP is seeking. This thread, though, is superfluous and need go no further.
