Cleaned some brass in preparation for a bullet order that should come in tomorrow.

Have some 6.5 in the tumbler now, and will toss in some .223 when that’s done.

Yeah, stuff is still out there at pretty normal prices. You just have to be lucky and beat everyone else who wants it, or wants to buy it and list it at 2-10X the price...

I CRIED TODAY!. :deadhorse: I FINALLY find someone who has small pistol primers at a local gun show and he wants 50¢ a piece ($500.00 for a 1000 piece brick). This after missing out on SPP at both the Spring and I10 West Carter's Country locations yesterday. :banghead: Once I use up the 300 CCI SPP's I have, looks like I will not be reloading for a while unless I get lucky and find some primers at a decent price.

Drove past the show out in Mesquite today... was considering going until I saw the line wrapped about 1500 strong around the building

I remember just before 4th of July last year, I was in Odessa and decided I needed to increase my stock of primers. There is one LGS there that always has anything you’re looking for, but being able to afford it is another issue. They had Federal, Winchester, and CCI in stock, but wanted $85/1k on large primers and $95/1k on small primers. I informed them I wasn’t interested at that price. If I knew then what I know now, I’d be rich selling all my excess primers.

Had good luck getting primers the last few days. Powder Valley came through in a big way despite their website crashing multiple times during my checkout. Even managed to find CCI small rifle primers today at Academy of all places.

Which Academy? Every Academy I have talked to in person (not called) says they haven't seen any primers at all since March.

Said the same thing about cases of 5.56 going for $400 from PSA back in May. Ouch.

Fired my 6.5 CM test rounds today. 39.1g of H4350 is the ticket. It produced a group at .448”.

Will begin loading rounds using that charge this week.

    Out here by the lake!
Today I loaded some powder in a box & looked at all my brass head & wonder if I should give it away. Drawer full a primers are money in the bank. I have a good amount of bullets that will need the right box. Moving my reloading room is going to suck! Glad I sold the second set up.

I cut down a propane tank to create a bigger melting pot to process some raw lead. As going to try and make one with a bottom pour spout but will probably work that out at a later time. Should be able to melt down 100lbs at a time.
