    Gunz are icky.
Casted some more .54 Sharps bullets this A.M.

The other thread about the weight of various rounds got me to thinking............
So drug out the old scale and weighed these Sharps bullets.
Scale said 30grams/each or 15 to the pound! And hat is just the bullets! Y CARUMBA!
Cast about 350 the last few days.
The old lead supply is dwindling fast!

Yesterday I loaded up test loads with Unique and 124gr 9mm pills. Both Hornady XTP and Xtreme RN, 10 rounds in 5 different powder charges.
Hopefully this weekend I go shoot them.

I bought one of these, waiting for it to come in. Going to see how well it works reloading with a portable bench out on the patio instead of sitting in the garage.

Shipped Allient 2400, Bullseye and Unique powders today! The 2400 came in stock January 2015 but the others were still on backorder. I paid for the 2400 & asked Precision Reloading to hold the powder until the rest came in. The Bullseye and Unique showed up last Friday so I had them ship it on one HazMat. Got the shipping confirmation today! This closes out almost a year of backorders!

The 2400 is for the cast bullet project. 2400 is the recommended powder used for full sized rifle cast bullet loads.

Moonpie, all your Sharps talk has me wanting to drag out my 1842 Springfield and put some buck n ball through it.

Should we have a smoke-off at the next Hicksville meet?

Why wait until Hicksville? That's months away. Not afeared of a little Texas warmth is ya?

One caveat: The Sharps is still at the gunsmith. He told me a couple/three more weeks so I've been getting ready for its return.
Also have the .69 Charelville flinter. I can mooch some buck&ball off of you. LoL!

Lawd Tunderin' Jaysus these take a lot of lead!
That strange light you saw late last night at the gun range was me digging in the backstop mound.

De-primed, sized and cleaned the rest of my .38 special brass. I oogled my .357 mag brass, but I think I need to get some jacketed boolits for that.

I wanted to re-load some .45 Auto LRN with Unique today, but my dog did not come home until early morning. He went roving and took a dip in some newly poured concrete. Spent the better part of the day giving him bath after bath and brushing the cement and concrete out of his miserable hide.

Never had a problem with that mutt wandering away, because he always stays close to home. Guess I'll have to close the door to his kennel now when I put him to bed for the night.

    Be well.
