Weighed my .338 Lapua cases. I was surprised at how well each brand did. Very little weight deviation in the 5 different brands I have.

These are all once fired factory ammo.

They all weighed from 310 to 330 grains. The Lapua brass was very good with just a few grains difference among 80 cases from unknown lots and many of them weighed exactly the same. No surprise there though really. S&B, Herter's, and HSM were also very good. The Hornady was the worst with 7 grains difference.

Again, these were all mixed lots of factory ammo.

I guess nobody makes cheap .338 cases. Kind of makes sense though for what they charge for the ammo. I have seen more deviation in match cases by big names in smaller calibers.

Loaded a 100 9mm tonight after dinner on the RCBS 2000. Going to change over to 380 and load up a 100 of them tomorrow. Going to the range on Sunday.

Refactored some 300 BLK loads for a Lee 155 2R cast to set deeper.
Last batch I made popped a primer and I'm sure it was because the fat ogive hit and caused a pressure spike.

Bought some more small pistol primers. It's nice to have them readily available at Academy.

Dude at work's dad gave me 6 different groups of 10 .38 special bullets. I guess I should just go and load those.

Does saving up a bucket of once fired brass count? All good Winchester stuff (mostly) and has been tumbled.

    Fine.

100 rounds of .38 special with 2.5 grains of TiteGroup behind 158 grain hollow base wad cutters. Brass is drying after de-priming and sizing. Found a couple more .357's in there. I'm getting a pile of "mystery" brass on my reloading bench.

I need to be organizing my reloading room. It's all mine now, no more excuses.

I looked at the gallon ziploc bag that's half-full of mixed brass.

Will probably stay there until we move to a bigger place and I can dedicate some space to a reloading setup.

Seems like you have my type of ambitions.

After the HBWC rounds - I decided to go to Academy and buy 300 boolits of lead Hornady round nose .358 dia - since I had more .38 special brass. Too hot for anything else other than floating in the pool.
