Had a P22 slide cracked on us yesterday.

When we got home, I sent Walther an e-mail on where to buy a replacement slide since I can’t find a reputable source online. Got a response today from Walther Arms/UmarexUSA
“…Send the slide and the form, to the address on the bottom and we’ll get you taken care of. In this situation no receipt is needed…”

First time a Walther broke on me. I have a few Walther products. Sent it out today via USPS. Will update the turnaround. I think it’s pretty cool for Walther

    Holy cheet!!
I told you not to use it as a hammer! It is far too light for that application! :D
    j/k

Hope they send you a new slide soon. Unless, of course, all the slides are sitting in a container on some ship off the left coast ... sorry.
I want to take the wife out to the range soon to get her proficient again with her P22.

This is common. I've seen several and even bought a couple years ago and stripped them for parts. I say common but I knew a gun smith in AZ who took care of getting them fixed so that may skew my definition of common in tthis instance

They always just replace it as quietly and quickly as possible. Good reputation.

The slide feels very flexible now doesnt it. Lol

The toy company used toy Pot metal to make the slide.
Only reason I parted with mine. Otherwise a great gun.

I'd guess caused by the ginormous ejection port leaving little metal andmamweak spot in that area?
Also made of pot metal, it seems.

From my google-fu, Umarex a subsidiary and where the slide is being sent, specializes in the manufacturing of toy guns, airsoft, pellet guns and replicas.

Umarex makes the pistol under license from Walther. They do this for several different manufacturers. Sorry this happened and hope they get it resolved for you.

Slide arrived today. What a quick turnaround! 5 working days total, including the transit time! Walther even sent a new P22 captured recoil spring assembly.

Our P22 is back in action. Daughter was so happy. Going to be a perfect weekend.

Told her about the Walther warranty and she was in awe. Now, that’s going to leave a lifelong impression.

    Kudos to Walther!
