9.2% property tax hike to home and business owners. And of course, the tax never expires or goes down. This tax would expand HCC and drop tuition in half to $57 per hour.

So currently, give or take, it's $114 per hour. A 20 hour semester would equate to $2,280. For two semesters that means $4,560.

If you work 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, this would cost you $2.19 per hour, for the school year.

EDIT: if the tax goes through, kids going to HCC would have to earn/clear $1.09 per hour for four years. The average home owner gets to pay an extra $283 per year, forever.

The way I see it, if you don't have the gumption to come up with $2.19 on your own, educating you is going to be a waste.
