Visited John Wesley Hardin's grave

Finally wife and I made a visit to JWH grave last week

Had lunch before at L& J just west of the Concordia Cemetery. Very interesting as there were different groups in each section.

I'm gonna guess and say some time not long before they buried him. Otherwise, he'd-a shot 'em.

Pretty much. But he was hardly the only one - and (I suppose in his favor) he didn't try to hide that he would shoot people he felt had slighted him.

Hardin had a lot of time to embellish his tales during the 17 years he spent in Huntsville between age 23 and 40... a year later he was dead.

Serms he made a miserable life for himself.

The bullet that killed Hardin brought $80,000 at auction in 2002.
